“As part of periodic updating, MOM has reviewed the qualifying salary criteria for work pass holders to sponsor dependants. This is to ensure that sponsors are able to upkeep their dependants in Singapore. MOM is increasing the salary criteria for sponsoring family members (DP) as of 1 January 2018.

  • Work pass holders need to meet a minimum fixed monthly salary of $6,000 to sponsor the stay of their spouses and children in Singapore.
  • Work pass holders need to meet a minimum fixed monthly salary of $12,000 to sponsor the stay of their parents in Singapore.

New DP applications for spouse/children and Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP) applications for parents received before 1 January 2018 will be assessed on pre-1 January 2018 criteria. Renewal DPs/ LTVPs approved or issued before 1 January 2018 will also be based on pre-1 January 2018 criteria provided the main pass holder remains with the same employer.

According to MOM latest news, please note that there will be an increase of salary criteria for work pass holder who would like to bring their spouse/children in Singapore with effect from 1 January 2018.
