Is it possible to incorporate a company in singapore witout ourselves being directors of the company?
We are 2 partners already directors of a company in uk and in spain, willing to incorporate a company in singapore but without being directors. Is it possible that the owner/director of the sg company be some kind of a trust or another company etc…?
Hello Ari,
Although it is a common practice, there is no requirement in Singapore for the person in whose name the company is incorporated to serve as one of its directors. The requirements for director status in Singapore include being 18 years old or older, being a natural person, being a resident of Singapore, and not having been disqualified from the position through bankruptcy or legal violations.
For further information on company incorporation or director status in Singapore, please contact us at any time.
Thank you for your question.

Hi I m from India i am looking to start new business or if I can get some running business in singapore.
Hello Harkirat,
If you would like to start a business in Singapore as a foreigner, the business must have a local company director, an approved company name, a recommended amount of paid-up capital of at least S$1,000, a company secretary, and a number of shareholders between one and 50. Should you happen to not have a local director, we will provide you with other options. After the preceding criteria have been fulfilled, you may then open a Singapore corporate bank account as soon as the bank provides its approval.
Please contact us at any time for further information on company incorporation in Singapore.
Thank you for your question.
