Having a passion for science and biology, Lisa spent many years in the pharmaceutical world. While working in the industry, she also discovered her drive for sales and working with sales teams to achieve success. Lisa managed to earn rave reviews from various companies, where many of which asking why her teams are more successful than theirs. With that, Lisa took it upon herself to realise her potential in this field, and she dug deeper to understand not only what makes a good sales tea, but what makes a great business.
Through her research and tenacity to hone her skill, it became clear to her that beyond the product, strategy, money for advertising, which are all important for business, there is a much deeper characteristic that all companies share – the People. Lisa had unknowingly developed a talent for leading teams and focusing on successes through engaging the people she manages. Looking back, she came to realise that success came from a passion to engage others and ensure that they could achieve their success before focusing on hers.
Adopting this new outlook, and with many competitor companies asking her to help transform their businesses, Lisa has now been focusing on consulting for the last 12 years. She continues to help companies and people find success through engaging the people and putting in place strategies and plans that are more than tick box outcomes. In actual fact, they are living documents that allow a company to drive success through not just strategy and revenue, but by engaging their people to get them there – this is what truly makes a sustainable and successful company.
Today, Lisa holds the position as a Director at Apex BRS where she offers C-suite experience and Board-level advice, along with strategic HRM and restructuring. Her key focus is to make businesses the best they can be, by utilising all of their assets, especially their people. Beyond that, Lisa also specialises in executive recruitment, business performance, and identifying the right role for future growth of companies. She is also currently a global mentor for Founders Institute where she guides growing start-ups to successful launches and capitalisation.
With a knack for speaking and having extensive knowledge in the industry, Lisa has been a global radio host with International Business Growth Radio (IBGR.Network) and also speaks for Executives’ Global Network. She is also Professor in Cambridge Corporate University.
